You never know what you'll see when you're driving along

The kids were driving home from violin lessons today, looked over at a pasture and saw a calf at its exact moment of arrival! (Sometimes cows calve standing up, so this calf had a bit of a drop to reach the ground)

Lincoln was opening and closing the pasture gate for one of our neighbors who was getting loads of dirt every few minutes, so he found a "comfortable" place to read in the lid of the doghouse between loads.

Abigail captured a few pictures of Garrett the other day that I just love.  He is growing up so fast!

Digging a house

We have a big pile of dirt in our pasture from digging it out of a stream crossing a few years ago.  Lincoln and Garrett have spent hours digging in it this spring.

Serious reader

Lincoln loves to read and  very often gets lost in a book when he is supposed to be getting dressed. I love this picture that Abby took of him - looks like he found a book while he was getting his socks on.
