2015 Vacation - Hershey

No need for explanation!

2015 Vacation - Gettysburg

Our day in Gettysburg was like this most of the day - drizzly and cold.  It was a good day to drive around the battleground sites.  We had a CD tour guide that explained what happened at each place.

I love this picture of Abigail and Garrett walking together.

Playing soldier
Hiding behind a rock wall

Climbing the rocks at one of the lookout spots

Up in one of the lookout towers

It was a long way up there!

Scenery

And... the photo bomber strikes again :)

2015 Vacation - Harpers Ferry

Trying to get a decent picture of the goofs

Harpers Ferry was a great place to take pictures of the kids - somehow Laura and Heidi escaped getting in front of the camera.

There were a lot of places to hike and climb - we could have spent all day here but only had an hour or two - we were on our way to Gettysburg and had plans to be in a Bible study there. It was so nice to be in the Sunday morning and Wednesday night meetings in the places we visited. There is nothing like going somewhere completely new and feeling like you've known the people there all your life.

If you look close you can see Charlotte way up there.

2015 Vacation - Washington DC

We spent a lot of time of the Metro.  This picture must have been right after we got on to head into town - most of the time there was standing room only - and not much of that!
We also spent a lot of time doing this - walking!

Smithsonian Air and Space Museum

Museum of Natural History. Some of us were at the Holocaust Museum - Todd & I took turns going through the Holocaust Museum and taking the youngest kids to the Museum of Natural History and Museum of American History.

I think this was in the White House

This was taken in the Capitol Building.  We took a tour with a young man who worked in our Representative's office and then sat and listened to some of the senetors' speeches for a few hours in the Senate Gallery
