Recycling?
Lincoln and Garrett have been wearing this hat made of an empty water jug and the netting from a bag of oranges. Garrett was wearing it while he was doing school the other day. Not sure where they get their fashion sense from.
He wasn't planning to get muddy...
After what seemed like a long winter, he must have wanted to enjoy the warm rainy February day to the fullest. I'm pretty sure the last face dip was for the benefit of the photographer.

Young Eagles
Garrett was too young when the rest of the kids went on airplane rides with the young eagles last time. He got his chance this time.

Remembering Darryl Roberson
Several years ago our good friends Daryl and June Roberson introduced us to Orla Fallon playing harp and singing Isle of Innisfree. You can see her here.
A few years later, in March of 2015, Daryl and June came to spend a Saturday with us and before they left, gave the children a Harp. You can read about it here.
Seven months later Daryl died suddenly from an aneurysm on his aorta. He was only 63. Daryl was a very special friend and I think of him almost every day. Here is a link to a post at the time.
This last Saturday, as they often do, several of the children spent the evening playing music together. It was beautiful to hear Emily playing Isle of Innisfree on the harp accompanied by Abigail on the viola, Charlotte on the violin and Heidi on the piano.

Chickens again
After a few years of not having chickens, we got some chicks earlier this summer. Looking forward to fresh eggs any day now.
