The past few days have been busy, but uneventful. Tonight we loaded Fred up on the trailer - he has a date with the abattoir in the morning. He wasn't keen on getting up in the trailer, but the bucket of corn was too tempting for him to resist. So we will be down to just the Beltie bull, who we are holding for someone from Indiana, and the bull calves. We will be very glad to only have cows and heifers.

We had some oatmeal left over from breakfast this morning, so I decided to make bread. It had been a while since I had made any. We ate a loaf for snack and a loaf for supper. It doesn't last very long around here - especially when we have fresh strawberry jam to go with it.
